Our Mission

The Friends of Rainbow Springs State Park, Inc. (FORS) exists to promote community interest in Rainbow Springs State Park and to assist in the Florida Park Service mission of providing resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources.

Welcome

Please help us continue by sending a donation to the Friends of Rainbow Springs State Park.

It has been a challenging time for all of us, including The Friends of Rainbow Springs State Park.  Our gift shop closed in March due to the pandemic.

We continued to support the park with equipment purchases needed to maintain the park.

Will you help us continue to support this beautiful natural resource?

Your donation will help us pay for improvements on our patrol boat, new interpretive signage, and much needed equipment for maintenance of the park.

Please send your donation to:

The Friends of Rainbow Springs State Park

19164 SW 81 Place Road Dunnellon, FL 34432

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Connie Santoro

President, Friends of Rainbow Springs

Latest News

Boat Captain News!

Our boat captains who patrol our amazing resource we call Rainbow Springs State Park, come from another valuable resource...our Volunteers!

Boat Captains volunteer 3 - 4 hour during shifts that run 7 days a week.

Boat Captains welcome paddlers answering questions regarding the river, springs, flora, fauna, and all things aquatic, as well as questions regarding rules and laws governing this beautiful place we call home.

Boat Captains are also concerned for the safety and protection of our paddlers.  They assist flipped canoes or kayaks.

Boat Captains protect our Aquatic Preserve from eager paddlers when required.

Thank You Boat Captains for making Rainbow Springs a safer place!
