Latest News

Habitat Restoration is in Progress. Please excuse our dust! Rainbow Springs State Park is currently working on restoring the Sand Hill habitat located near the tubing facility on 180 Ave. This is the beginning phase of a long term restoration project that will include removing trees that are not native to Sand Hills, prescribed burning, invasive plant control, and replanting trees and native ground cover that are historically found in Sand Hill habitat. Creating this habitat is essential to maintaining a good aquifer. If you have any questions, please contact Park Service Specialist Michael Good by email Michael.Good@FloridaDEP.gov

Of note: There will be a barbless fence going up around the new Sandhill area which will let critters in. The fencing will be put up from 180th to the tubing exit.

OUR GIFT SHOP WILL BE CLOSED 1/25 - 2/2 in order to have new flooring installed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

CONTROLLED BURNS run February through July. we will do our best to let you know when we schedule them.
