Supporting Local Conservation

Friends of Rainbow Springs is a nonprofit organization devoted to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Rainbow Springs State Park. The park, famous for its crystal-clear springs and lush landscapes, attracts thousands of visitors each year. As the park continues to grow in popularity, maintaining its facilities and ensuring visitor safety is more important than ever. That’s where the Dunnellon Community Thrift Shop's contribution steps in.

With the $3,000 donation, FORS will be able to upgrade their river patrol boat. This vital piece of equipment allows volunteers to monitor and maintain the health of the river, ensuring that its waters remain clean and safe for wildlife and visitors alike. Additionally, the funds will contribute to various other park improvements, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
